Here is the Adidas Original’s Rod Laver Vintage Lux. It has that subtle snake skin print, a suede lining, printed in-sole, and a Rod Laver tag on the back heel. Overall this shoe gives off a very classy vibe. Look for it to be available in June.

By day it is a regular looking bike, but when night falls it turns into Puma’s glowing Stealth Visibility Bike. This bike is like no other, it has paint that collects light during the day to allow it’s rider a glow during the night. This bike is a part of the Puma’s Urban Mobility Collection and it comes in buttermilk and orange. At $1,600 you can have your daytime glow into the night.

Also from Puma is a Rob L. x Puma Clyde “Archipelago”
This dope ass kick is a collab by Rob L, who made a shoe called the Archipelago back in 06/07 on his own, pictured below. They have officially made a new one due to be released June 21st at SOLEBOX.

Here is the new one:

A new pic of an SB Dunk Low that has already been nicknamed Gold Stars was leaked. We don’t have much more info other than the picture, but it’s rumored that the Gold Stars Dunk won’t release until 2009. Hopefully the rumor is true and we’re getting an early look into Nike SB’s 2009 lineup.

What Alex Thinks:
While I’m not too excited about this particular shoe. I can’t wait to see what else Nike SB has in store for 2009. I’ll keep you posted.

We all know that the 2008 Olympics are coming up in Beijing, and the Kicks community is pumping out some serious footwear in tribute.
For part 1 lets look at what Nike is doing for the Olympics:

These are Nike’s Dunks for the olympics because they use an Octagon (8 sided) to represent the start of the 2008 Olympics that are on 8-08-08 and of course 8 is China’s lucky number. Definitely a nice touch by Nike

These are Nike’s Air Rejuven8 Kicks featured in Red, Yellow, Green, Black and Blue.

New pictures are up on TSG showing a previously unseen colorway of Kanye West’s Air Yeezy.

What Alex thinks:
This new colorway definitely looks better than the first colorway that we saw. I’m still not digging this shoe. I really want to like this it, because I like Kanye’s music, but I just can’t see myself wearing them at all. Sorry Kanye, like your music, don’t like your shoe.

Sneakerbr.com.br has a preview of Nike’s upcoming fall release. The terminator is included in this batch after being dormant from retailers for some time.

What Alex Thinks:
Overall I think this is a pretty good release from Nike. I could see myself wearing a lot of these shoes that are set to come out, as always NONE of the high tops. My favorite of the group is the urban camo Terminator Low, come fall I’d definitely would like to own a pair of those bad boys. Overall I’m going to give this release a strong 3 out of 5.

Reebok and Bodega have teamed up to make this very unorthodox Escape pack.
This project was inspired by a kind of renegade bus line that goes between NY’s Chinatown and Boston’s Chinatown. They will be sold for $200 USD and will be a very limited release. Only 100 will be made.
Included in this pack will be jade and charcoal Reebok Omni pump, matching hat, and t-shirt. To also aid in your escape they have included little odds and ends such as mix-tapes, rolling, papers, paint markers, and band-aids.
The release date is set for May 31st. Get’em if you can.

As a devote Kicks Aficionado you need to not only own the freshest kicks on the block, but also the dopest accessories that delve in the Kicks Culture.
DVD:
Just For Kicks is a documentary made about the sneaker culture. This is a must have for anyone that calls themselves a Sneaker Head. This is a sick documentary because it is made by Kicks Aficionado’s and not a bunch of film nerds. You will find out some really interesting facts about people who were big back in the hay day of Sneaker culture and their influence.
Book:
Sneakers: The complete collectors guide is a book that is pretty self explanatory. It is a guide for people who appreciate sneakers for their looks rather than a whole bunch of hypebeasts. It was put together by the guys who run Crookedtongues.com
Custom:
By far we all know that the number one thing a Kicks Aficionado can buy is a custom Kick. That way you can rock your own style and have not only the freshest, but also the only Kicks of those kind on the block. You can buy some mainstream from Puma, with their Mongolian BBQ, Nike with their Nike iD, or go a little less mainstream and more custom with pairing up with a designer. As of right now you have to be somebody to get a unique custom set of kicks. I will look into getting you guys links to places you can get ya some.
